These terms apply when you create an account, book classes, or make a payment with Rebecca Stokes Dance Academy (“RSDA”, “we”, “us”). By booking a class you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Bookings & accounts
- To book, you create a parent/guardian account and your registration is approved by us.
- You must complete the parental enrolment & safeguarding form before booking, and renew it every 6 months. Bookings cannot be made without a current form.
- You are responsible for keeping your account details and your child’s information accurate and up to date — especially medical and allergy information.
2. Fees & payment
- Class fees are shown per session and charged monthly (covering the sessions in that month). The total is shown clearly before you pay.
- Payment is taken securely online by card via Stripe at checkout.
- A place is only confirmed once payment has cleared. Until then a booking shows as “pending”.
- Fees may be reviewed from time to time; we will give reasonable notice of any change.
3. Cancellations & refunds
If you need to cancel or change a booking, please contact Miss Becky as early as possible at 07595 341671 or rsdaleicester@outlook.com.
- Monthly fees are generally non-refundable once the month has begun, as places are reserved for your child.
- Refunds or credits may be offered at our discretion (for example, in exceptional circumstances or prolonged illness).
- If we cancel a class and cannot offer a suitable alternative, you will be refunded for that session.
Please confirm your specific cancellation and refund policy with us — these are our standard terms.
4. Attendance & behaviour
- Please arrive on time and collect your child promptly. Children remain the responsibility of their parent/guardian outside class times.
- We expect respectful behaviour from students and parents. We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw a place where behaviour affects the safety or enjoyment of others.
- Please let us know in advance if your child will miss a class.
5. Health, safety & medical information
- By booking, you confirm your child is fit to take part in dance and physical activity.
- You must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies or special needs relevant to safe participation, and keep this information current.
- We will take reasonable care, but participation in dance carries inherent physical risk.
6. Photography & media
From time to time we may take photos or video at classes, shows or competitions for academy records or promotion. We will seek your consent for this and you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us.
7. Timetable & class changes
We may occasionally need to change class times, teachers, venues or cancel a session (for example due to illness or circumstances beyond our control). We will give as much notice as possible.
8. Website & account use
- Keep your login details secure and do not share your account.
- Information such as class availability and pricing on the site is provided in good faith and may change.
- You agree not to misuse the website or attempt to disrupt it.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence). Otherwise, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the affected classes.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
